Kâhyaoğlu, who retired from the Turkish Armed Forces on August 30, 2011, was promoted to Professor in 2012 and was appointed to the Professorship of the Pîrî Reis University (PRU) Engineering Faculty.

He also has more than 24 years of experience in strategic and operational management.

In 1992, he received a 'doctorate' in the Department of Shipbuilding and an associate professorship in hydromechanics in 1996, and the title of Professor in 2012. Dr. Nurhan Kâhyaoğlu is currently working as a full-time professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Pîrî Reis University (PRU). HAVELSAN A.S.
